RWHARI have experienced tremendous growth in the past years; our volunteer grew in strength and numbers. Our LGAs of coverage have increased. This brought about increase in community coverage participation and mobilization. We are a member of CISHAN, We also partner with SACA and LACA, All our PEs are trained on Inter personal Communication (IPC) to use the PEP manual to carry out HIV intervention at hot spots targeting KAPs as well as right base intervention activities with great community ownership as a sustainability strategy

Activites & Strategies

The main purpose of the Organization is to mitigate the impact of stigma and discrimination towards female sex workers and other vulnerable women in Nigeria through the provision of sexual and reproductive health care services, GBV screening and access to legal services

  • To enlighten key affected population on HIV, mode of transmission, condom and lubricant use, STIs management and other health related issues in Edo State Behavior Change Communication (peer education, edutainment, games and other social activities)
  • - Commodity distribution
    - Outreaches
    - HTS
    - Referrals and follow-up
    - Online engagement to more effectively deliver and increase the reach of our services
    - Promote access to MARPs-friendly health care services
  • To contribute to the elimination of all forms of Violence against Female Sex Workers in Edo State.
  • - Advocacy.
    - Conduct research on violence suffered by Female Sex Workers.
    - Conduct capacity building activities focusing on Female Sex Workers.
    - Engage in Inter personal communications with Female Sex Workers.
    - Community sensitization     on the promotion and protection of women’s right.
  • To network with other existing CBO’s, CSO’s and NGO’s with similar goals and objectives in Edo State
  • - Engage in advocacy with CBOs, CSOs and NGOs for the inclusion of issues concerning marginalized women in mainstreaming human rights programming.
    - Create a viable relationship with the women affairs commission, especially on issues concerning marginalized women.
    - Advocacy visits to already existing women’s right organization.
    - Network and build active alliances with relevant stakeholders for efficient service delivery
  • To advocate for the sexual and reproductive rights of women and adolescent girls at all levels in Edo State.
  • - Engage in advocacy towards the promotion of sexual and reproductive rights of women.
    - Conduct sensitization meetings with lawmakers at both state and national level.
  • To promote income generating activities among key affected population in order to reduce poverty in Edo State
  • - Engage in advocacy with CBOs, CSOs and NGOs for the inclusion of issues concerning marginalized women in mainstreaming human rights programming.

  • To promote gender Equality at all level in Edo state
  • - Ensure gender equality at all levels of programming
    - Ensure equal gender representation and active participation in all structures; internally and externally
    - Develop and distribute of IEC materials that promote gender equality
    - Education on Gender, Gender Based Violence, Gender Equality
    - Education on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity.
    - Round table discussions wit    h relevant stakeholders on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity.
